Working at the DSO

The following list of job descriptions includes positions within the DSO, as well as other positions related to assistive technology and persons with disabilities. Academic Assistants
Hours:
Flexible and largely dependent upon the student’s schedule.
Qualifications: You must have proficiency in the student’s subject area, you must have good communication and academic skills, you must be dependable and willing to commit to work for the entire semester.
Pay: $8.25 & up per hour.

Note-Takers
Hours:
Flexible and largely dependent upon the student’s schedule.
Qualifications: Knowledge of the subject matter is required for technical, math, and science classes. Reference the Instructions for Note-Takers page for more information.
Pay:$8.25 & up per hour.

Proctor/Reader/Scribe
Hours:
Flexible and largely dependent upon the student’s schedule. Most proctors are typically hired during final exams.
Qualifications: Highly responsible, mature, and trustworthy applicants need only to apply.
Pay:$8.25 & up per hour.

Graduate Office Assistant
Hours:
Must be able to work between the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon.-Fri.
Qualifications: Assist the DSO office with various administrative task such as filing, scanning, coping and other duties as assigned. Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
Pay: $8.25 & up per hour.
