Accessible Building

The building and classroom must allow clear and safe passage for students who travel by wheelchair, scooter, crutches, etc. Responsibilities are as follows:

Instructor
  • Make sure not to block entrances, exits, or travel routes in and around the classroom.
  • Report any access problems or barriers to the Building Liaison and to Amy Circosta, Assistant Vice Provost and ADA Coordinator.
  • Contact the University Fire Marshal, Bill Stevenson, if you would like to discuss evacuation procedures and planning.
Student
  • Register during priority registration and select course locations with access in mind.
  • Contact the instructor, the Building Liaison and to Amy Circosta, Assistant Vice Provost and ADA Coordinator, if there are any access problems/barriers.
  • Contact the University Fire Marshal, Bill Stevenson, if you would like to discuss evacuation procedures and planning.
DSO
  • Refer concerns and problems to the ADA Coordinator for investigation and possible solutions.
